POLICE are probing the theft of jewellery, DVDs, medication and a set of keys in a break-in at a Tudor Rise home in Ross-on-Wye,

it is not known how the thief got in, but the offence took place between Monday, November 20, and Monday, December 4.

If anyone has any information about the incident, they should contact West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident number 0281S 041217.

Officers are also investigating a break-in at a greenkeeper’s shed at the South Herefordshire Golf Club in nearby Upton Bishop, when chainsaws, strimmers, tools and gardening equipment were stolen overnight on Wednesday to Thursday, November 30 to 31.

Anyone who has been offered such tools for sale, or has any other information, is asked to call 101 and quote 0050S 301117.

There was also a break-in at a farm barn in Kempley, Dymock, on Sunday, December 3, although it appears nothing was taken (0252S 031217).

In an incident of vandalism, a tree at the junction of Walford Road and Eastfield Road in Ross was snapped in half between Wednesday, November 29, and Saturday, December 2 (0148S 051217).

The tree, valued at £100, was given to the town council by Ross Garden Store, and was due to be included as part of a display in the bed.
