I WRITE with regard to my letter in the Review last week. First of all I would like to say that the content of my letter regarding Lydney Bus Station were of my own opinion and, I hasten to add, that of many of the electorate of Lydney.

In no way was my letter from or representing Lydney Town Council of which I am a member.

Just a point of interest is that in my letter I mentioned the skip bins and black bags of rubbish that are situated at the front of the newly refurbished Dial A ride charity shop, I noticed with great interest that at the opening on Friday, May 17, by no less than our MP Mr Mark Harper, the skip bins and black bin liners were noticeable by their absence by the front of the newly refurbished facility.

However maybe by some miracle, they had reappeared by Saturday, so where were these bins during Mr Harper's visit and why can't they just stay there instead of decorating the front of the building once more?

Perhaps Mr Harper's visual opinion of this facility means more than the people of Lydney who have to look at these bins everyday.
