STAGECOACH has issued new timetables for the Forest which started on September 1.
Early mornings starts are improved. However on the 23 there's a two- hour gap from 6.37am to 8.33am from Coleford to Gloucester service.
The services get into Gloucester at 8.23am and 9.50a.m. The 24 service leaves Ross at 6.35am getting into Gloucester for 8.15am but there is a gap until 8.45am arriving Gloucester 10am.
Stagecoach spokesman said buses have to start earlier to get people to work etc. on time, that traffic volumes have grown and the jams and time delays make it impossible to put another bus on around 8am.
Stagecoach would need to make £134,000 in revenue a year to justify another morning bus. Re the 24 he said that people can have a seamless change off the 24 and onto the 31 at Lydbrook to Gloucester.
The Tourist Information Centre in Gloucester has all timetables and they are on the Stagecoach website.
Many bus routes nationally have posted notices on buses asking people not to leave their seats and start moving down the bus before arriving at the bus stop. Many older passengers have fallen and hurt themselves, especially if they are trying to come down the stairs. There have been accidents on local routes. Please take care.
Bus drivers often have to stop suddenly and there is no warning to "hold tight."
