How sad that someone is so unchristian and judgemental of a whole village on their own sad perception of life and then not put their name to their opinion.
If you have not been brought up to smile,a smile is hard work. Lots of people I know do not easily smile but are the kindest most considerate people in the world.
Many murderers and nasty people in history had very nice smiles – that's how they lured people in.
Experienced driver? I have been driving for a long time. That does not equate to a good or considerate driver.
No matter how experienced you are everyone can make mistakes due to lapses in concentration and stresses of life.
Yes, we do live in a beautiful area and our hardship up against Japan is small. If you should be experiencing personal hardship, eg you can't afford new shoes for your children, your car has conked and there is no way to get to work, the roof has sprung a leak and you finance is so tight there is no extra to fix it, hardship is relative to these personal setbacks. Rich or poor hardship is relative to where and how you live.
Negativity breeds negativity. Tarring people with the same brush does no one any good and upsets people unnecessarily.
'Rat running' is common through our village. The non-smiling nose-turner could have been one of them, or they may have been an experienced driver concentrating on their driving. For all we know you could be a 'rat runner' too.
Come and join us on a non-working day when life pressure and stress is off. Like our fabulous carnival on June 4, our end of month produce market, wonderful musical, school and church events. You will find us as smiley and joyous as any other group in the world.
If that doesn't suit, if you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen.
