A CAR has been involved in an accident on the A48 near St Pierre, between Chepstow and Caldicot.

A witness said the car had come off the road and gone into bushes.

Gwent Police say the incident involved a single vehicle and happened around 12.10pm this afternoon (Friday, January 26).

Police and the South Wales Fire Service were called to the incident.
