A GROUP of teenage school friends are hoping to make it big in the clothing industry.

Jordan Bevington, Taka Yamagata, Tom Stenson and Niall Hayes have formed a company and are selling a wide range of merchandise online.

The youngsters’ company, Yamagata, takes its name from Taka’s name and was formed by the Year 10 students at Wyedean School in Sedbury.

Their entrepreneurial flair has already impressed one group of experts.

Yamagata walked away from the South West finals of the Young Entrepreneur of the Year competition having been named best team and having made most impact, as well as second place overall.

Jordan said: “We’re a modern clothing company selling mainly to adults and teens.

“We’re an independent company breaking into the market and hoping to expand.”

Niall added: “We would like to make it big if we could.”

Their company sells a range of goods, which includes merchandise such as caps, stationery and mugs, from a firm based in Ludlow in Shropshire.

They decided to use Tamagata as it stands out.

And Taka said he felt “famous” that his name is being used.

Yamagata can be found by searching on social media.
