ONCE again?I see an article about Trelleck (Review – May 20) that does not mention Mrs Julia Wilson.

It is well known among archaeologists that it was Mrs Julia Wilson who first came up with the idea that the old Trelleck was along the Catbrook road and not in the village.

Her work was published in 1997 in Archaeology in Wales No 38. and led to the finding of Trelleck by herself and other members of Monmouth Archaeology Society. I am sure that publication would allow the Review to publish the article.

The fact that other people lay claim to her work is a sad reflection of the lack of professionalism that there is about these days. Some of these people think that ethics is a county in South East England.

Julia  died two years ago and her ashes are spread over the site of Trelleck.
