THREE vandals who admitted causing nearly £2,000 worth of damage will not be prosecuted after police said they had spent enough time on the incident.
The teenagers had initially offered to pay £142 each and apologise in public for the damage at Sedbury village hall.
But when the offer was reduced to £75 to hall owners Tidenham parish council "sadly" asked the police to prosecute.
In a series of e-mails to parish clerk Jan Cordon, local police sergent Carl Bourne explained the background to the decision.
