A VILLAGE was aglow as a local charity which pack bags of essential items for children in emergency care, held their most exciting fundraiser to date – a firewalk.
Packed With Love held the event at Bream Sports Club, starting with games and stalls, a bouncy castle, ice creams and an acoustic set, while the brave firewalkers were being briefed to face the flames.
Julie Holder, founder of the group, along with several members of the Packed With Love team, were first up to face the barefoot walk over 20 foot of red hot burning embers that reached temperatures of 1236 degrees Fahrenheit.
They were followed by supporters of Bream Early Learners and other local charities who were all raising funds for their individual causes.
Packed With Love say that whilst the total figure has still to be confirmed, they think they have raised in the region of £1,500 for their own cause and would like to thank everyone for their support.
