POLICE want to trace a driver who failed to stop at the scene of a collision in Woolaston last week.

The incident happened on the A48, close to the Woolaston Inn, at about 7.10pm last Wednesday (September 11).

A man travelling in a Ford Mondeo had to swerve to avoid another car, causing extensive damage to the Mondeo and left a 75-year-old woman who was a passenger with chest and shoulder pains.

The other vehicle failed to stop and continued in the direction of Chepstow.

It is described as gold coloured and possibly the shape/design of a Rover 45. 

The driver of that car or anyone who witnessed the collision should call 101, quoting incident 349 of September 11.
