ON Saturday, September 24 I was driving down the A48 near the traffic lights at Tesco, Chepstow when a woman drove out of Upper Nelson Street straight into my car, causing over £600 of damage.

The woman had fair hair and wore glasses, she

didn’t stop and drove on up towards Larkfield.

I could not get her car number, there was a bright red car. Nobody behind me stopped but must have seen it happen.

One lady who saw it was walking up by the railings and asked me if I was alright.

The lady said: “That car drove straight into you.” But she wasn’t close enough to get the registration number.

It is in the hands of police and insurance but thanks to a woman, who I think is a coward, I have to pay the first £300.

I was so thankful none of my grandchildren were with me.

If anyone behind me saw it, could they please get in touch with Chepstow Police.
