CONGRATULATIONS and many thanks to Artspace and numerous partners for making Cinderford Fringe Festival such a success.
The event highlighted how the voluntary and community sector in Cinderford, working in partnership, can make such a difference – promoting community involvement and tourism, which in turn encourages regeneration and boosts our economy, to name just a few plusses!
The event is bound to grow to become one of the major stars on the ever-increasing Forest of Dean events calendar.
This is now the right time for all organisations involved to shout abut their value and worth and of the massive contribution they make socially and economically.
There are new councillors on the district council determined to make cuts and the voluntary sector is a prime target especially as grants are not mandatory.
Rumblings are already starting in various working parties so, voluntary sector, unite in opposition to any such suggestion and prove what value and true contribution you all make!
