SO, two Catholic archbishops have come out as vehemently opposed to same sex marriage. Personally I could not care less who marries whom: should someone wish to marry a horse, it's ok by me.
How dare these people pontificate on something they will never experience? Remember, by canon law, these people must remain celibate.
I should have thought their time would be better spent putting their own house in order, for example, rooting out the priests who are suspected or convicted of paedophilia.
I am not a member of any religious organisation, I am a humanist. I have been a member of the British Humanist Association for many years, and I believe we can live good lives without any religious or superstitious beliefs.
It is my view that for many years the Catholic Church has subjugated its adherents by a combination of assumptions and fear.
Is it not now time to modernise and stop spouting irrelevant and dictatorial statements about a subject that I am sure the vast majority of people could not care less about?
