I HAVE to say I’m rather surprised that there haven’t been more resignations given the amount of  undue  criticism Lydney town councillors receive  from certain quarters.

And it’s down to the service provided that the Quality Gold Award is given.

With regard to the current council it’s how councillors  work – individually and as a team – and the commitment shown that means they operate  effectively on behalf of the people of Lydney.

I’d suggest that if Mr Blake is so concerned he should perhaps apply to become a town councillor, but I’ve been reminded that he was a town  councillor, albeit for approximately only  six months.

Perhaps he could answer his own question about resignations.
