A PAIR of very experienced physiotherapists have started their own private practice at Staunton.
Partners Nicola Smith and Sarah Scoular are both chartered and State-registered practitioners with a huge amount of experience between them, and both have recently been working at Lydney Hospital outpatients.
"We thought is would be a very good thing to start a private practice in the area that would save people having to wait for NHS appointments," said Sarah.
They treat people with sports injuries, back and neck problems, arthritis and a host of other conditions.
People may either refer themselves or be referred by a GP or their consultant and if they have private health insurance they will probably be able to claim for treatment subject to their policy terms.
"Unlike the NHS we can probably offer immediate appointments and fit in people with busy schedules," said Nicola. "We can also offer evening and even weekend sessions."
The pair have both worked in private practice before, Nicola in Hong Kong and Sarah in South London. They are also both trained in the use of acupuncture.
Their clinic is at The Buckstone House, Staunton.
