I CAN tell Mr Fitzsimmons, (Review, September 2) that he is not alone — I too have e-mailed Mr Harper, in his role as our elected representative, on a number of issues and never received an acknowledgement let alone a response.

Mr Harper’s views seem to be constantly at odds with his constituents so I am amazed at the majority upon which he was elected.

Who thinks that fracking in the Forest is a good idea? Mr Harper does.

Is our MP doing anything to help protect our heritage, protecting the old rail bridge at Lydbrook to the benefit of his constituents? What do you think?

I could go on but this letters page does not have enough room.

Looking at pictures in the Review of August 19, our MP is far too busy for such trivial matters.

What is he doing if not fighting for his constituents? Well I’ll tell you, he is busy cutting ribbons, yes, but not just on page 25 but page 26 too!
