A CYCLIST was taken to hospital with a leg injury after an early morning collision with a car in the centre of Coleford today.

The accident partially blocked Market Place near the Angel Hotel, causing traffic delays in the St John’s Street, Newland Street and High Street areas.

A police spokesman said: "We were called by the ambulance service shortly after 7am this morning to reports of a collision."

A spokesman from South Western Ambulance Service said the male cyclist suffered minor injuries and was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for treatment.
