THE decision to suspend Cllr Andrew Gardiner taken by the Forest of Dean District Council is absolutely diabolical and must reflect on the characters of the councillors supporting this decision. What are they frightened of?
Based on him entering an unauthorised closure to a public right of way and supposedly helping a trapped lizard their 'kangaroo court' has suspended him from his duties as councillor.
It is blatantly obvious that as an opponent of the Northern Quarter development Andrew's views, which are shared by many, has led to this conspiracy by the Forest of Dean Council.
It just shows how desperate they are to remove anyone who opposes their views if they get the slightest opportunity.
Well done to Cllr lan Whitburn for highlighting this 'kangaroo court' and threatening to resign over it.
Please do not resign, you are obviously an honourable man. Stay and fight any injustices as there may be future instances, when the underhanded closing of ranks by Forest of Dean councillors against anyone opposing their views on the Northern Quarter development is required.
