MAY we, through your newspaper, reply to Pearl Biddle’s letter in last week’s Review.

We would like to add our thanks to all those mentioned by Pearl, these very dedicated volunteers gave up their Christmas Day to ensure that those senior citizens on their own at Christmas received an excellent lunch.

Thank you all for your dedication.

However there are two people, not included in Pearl’s list, who should also receive thanks and these are Pearl and Carol who did a tremendous job which didn’t finish on Christmas Day.

We are aware that Pearl and presumably others were back at the Victoria Centre for at least two days clearing up.

Thank you all so very much for all  your work not only at Christmas but throughout the year.

Lydney is a better place with residents like you around.
