YOUNG fans of two of Britain's most popular children's TV stars had a treat when the duo turned up at a Forest school to lead some fun and games.

Richard McCourt and Dominic Wood – better known as Dick and Dom – were given a noisy welcome at St John's-on-the-Hill School in Tutshill on Tuesday.

The duo, who are best-known for some of the BBC's best-loved children's programmes such as the anarchic Dick and Dom in Da Bungalow, led a riotous hour of word games and other fun with their young audience.

Among them were "mega fans" Olivia Colthart, Rosie Watts, Morgan Williams and Paige Baker, who are all 13, and who queued to gets copies of Dick and Dom's new books autographed.

Rosie said: "Dick and Dom are absolute legends. My brother is going to be so jealous that I've met them."

Head of English Andy Downie said: "It's always great to invite authors to the school but this really was a treat.

"It was brilliant to see so many parents and children with smiles on their faces and we will remember their visit for a long time to come."
