RESIDENTS of Monmouthshire have been invited to give their views on where cuts to the county council's budget should fall.
The council is looking to make £9 million worth of cuts next year as it seeks to make savings of at least £23 million over the next four years.
The authority has an annual budget of £160 million but choices can only be made on a £126 million portion of it.
Leader of the council Cllr Peter Fox said: "There are some big decisions that will need to be made over the coming months.
"Some of that will mean services change, stop or are run by other community groups.
"We need to help people understand the situation that we're all facing and the community events will give everyone a chance to ask questions and be involved.
"We want to talk with our communities and listen to what matters to them. I urge residents to come to the events in October and make their voices heard. Their input will be crucial in helping us focus our limited resources."
The meetings will be held between 6.30pm and 8.30pm at Monmouth Comprehensive School on Monday, October 14, at Dewstow Primary School on Wednesday, October 16 and at Chepstow School on Tuesday, October 22.
