THE annual general meeting of the district council, on May 25, saw Cllr Jane Horne (Con, Tibberton) reappointed as chairperson for a fourth year.

Councillor Graham Morgan (Lab, Cinderford West) has been appointed as Vice Chairman.

  At the meeting, Brian Jones (Con, Churcham and Huntley) was appointed as chair of the audit committee with Clive Elsmore (Ind, Coleford Central) as vice chair.

Chair of the licensing committee is Clayton Williams (Con, Redmarley) and vice chair is Roger Yeates (Con, Bromsberrow and Dymock).

  Planning committee chair is Philip Burford (Ind, Hartpury) with Maria Edwards (Cons,Tidenham) as vice chair and the chair of the standards committee is Lynn Sterry (Lab, Cinderford West) with Jane Horne as vice chair.

  The strategic overview and scrutiny committee is chaired by Bernie O’Neill (Lab, Littledean and Ruspidge) with Simon Phelps (Ind, Newnham and Westbury) as vice chair.
