1980s music star Thomas Dolby is to play at Chepstow music festival The Green Gathering on July 30 following a gig at London's Royal Albert Hall.
The Green Gathering is a new festival event taking place over the weekend of July 29-31 near Piercefield House featuring entertainment, theatre, workshops, solar cinema, talks and much, much more all based on a sustainable programme powered by wind and sun.
Thomas Dolby, famous in the 80s for his Golden Age of Silence album featuring the hit, 'She blinded me with Science', is back in the music business following years in the USA running a highly successful tech company called Beatnik.
He writes and records aboard his solar and wind powered lifeboat in the garden of his Suffolk home.
After a 20 year break from the music business, this March he released his new album, A Map of the Floating City.
Steve Muggeridge, director of the Green Gathering, said: "We are delighted to have Thomas Dolby play for us and honoured that he has accepted an invitation to play on our solar powered stage. Many of us remember him in the 80s and his fans will be delighted that he has returned to the music scene after his years in America."
