THE FOREST hospice project is being tackled with determination by the rugby players from Berry Hill's famous Wappers team.

The boys who play strictly for fun and enjoyment, free of the constraints of league rugby, are preparing for their biggest match of the season when they entertain a Forest All Stars team at Lakers Road on May 13.

And they will be trying to raise a mighty four figure sum for the hospice project.

It will be a fun-packed family afternoon featuring Berry Hill Silver Band, plenty of entertainment for youngsters and a disco to follow.

Cooper Security, and a number of other companies and local organisations are backing the game and a feature will be a massive auction to include England shirts donated by Phil Greening and Dan Luger.

The Wappers are making big plans for the day and could surprise their opponents by including a guest player or three – unpaid, of course!
