A DRUG dealer has been jailed for four years and three months after police raids found heroin and crack cocaine at two Coleford addresses.
Matthew England, 46, admitted two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs and one count of possession with intent to supply class C drugs after search warrants were executed on June 29 and September 29 last year.
The first raid on England’s St John Street home uncovered weighing scales, heroin, crack cocaine, cannabis and five bottles of liquid methadone.
Gloucester Crown Court heard that England was released on bail pending further investigations, but failed to answer it.
In the second raid, officers attended England’s new address on Spout Lane where they found him trying to hide pills.
Drugs officers searched the property and found £600 in cash and 71 diazepam tablets and morphine tablets.
England also pleaded guilty to five counts of possession of drugs (three class A, one class B and one class C).
PC Leanne Sterry, who investigated the case, said: “Following the successful execution of a warrant and during the ongoing investigation, police recovered drugs with a street value of around £2,400.
“We were able to build a case to prove England’s involvement in the supply of class A drugs and we are pleased with this sentence as it sends out the message that drug dealing will not be tolerated in our communities.
“If you have any information concerning drugs please contact Gloucestershire Constabulary on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers.”
England was sentenced last Thursday, September 28, by Recorder Paul Grumbar.
