Wyedean School students celebrate outstanding GCSE results

STUDENTS at Wyedean School are celebrating an excellent set of GCSE results, achieving impressive outcomes across a wide range of subjects.

The cohort secured 221 grades at 7-9, including 126 grades at 8 and 9, equivalent to the former A*/A** standard.

Principal Gwennan Jeremiah said: "We are incredibly proud of this year's students. They have brought energy, humour and individuality to our school community and their results reflect both their hard work and resilience. It has been a privilege to watch them grow and succeed, and we wish them every success in the future."

Vice Principal, Dr Julie Smith states, "It gives me immense pride to offer my warmest congratulations to our students on their outstanding GCSE results this year. Your determination, resilience, and consistent effort have been richly rewarded, and these results are a testament to the dedication you have shown throughout your studies.

“I would also like to recognise and thank our remarkable teaching and support teams. Their commitment, knowledge, and continuous encouragement have been instrumental in supporting our students and helping them achieve this important success.

“To all of our students, these accomplishments represent an important milestone and open the door to exciting future opportunities. Very well done, and sincere congratulations on all that you have achieved."

The majority of the students will be returning to Wyedean School Sixth Form, and the school said it looks forward to welcoming them back on September 3 for enrolment.

The school also said there are places left within its Sixth Form for any young people considering their next steps. It offers a broad range of A-Level and BTEC qualifications, and a "step-up to A levels" one-year qualification for students who may not have achieved the five grade 4 or C grades needed for level 3 qualifications.
