Wyedean School celebrates its students' A-level and BTEC success

WYEDEAN School and Sixth Form Centre has celebrated its Year 13 students following a highly successful results day on Thursday, August 13.

The A Level students achieved 80 per cent A*-C grades, 53 per cent A*-B grades, with 24 per cent of all grades at A*-A. The BTEC students also performed incredibly well, with 39 per cent of grades awarded at Distinction* to Distinction and 79 per cent at Distinction* to Merit.

The students now prepare for their next chapter in life. Many have secured places at leading universities, while others will undertake an apprenticeship, jump into employment, or travel the world.

Gwennan Jeremiah, Principle of Wyedean School and Sixth Form Centre said: "Today is a celebration of a wonderful year group who have demonstrated resilience, ambition and character throughout their time with us.

“We are incredibly proud of every student and the individual path they have chosen. Their destinations reflect the breadth of talent within our school, and we wish them every success and happiness in the future."

Laura Watkins, Assistant Principal, Director of Sixth Form, said: “Today is a day of celebration for our students, and we are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved. These results represent the culmination of two years of hard work, commitment and perseverance. They reflect not only academic success, but also the resilience, determination and character that our students have shown throughout their time in Sixth Form.

“The Class of 2026 has made a significant contribution to the life of our Sixth Form community. They leave Wyedean with much more than qualifications; they leave with the confidence, adaptability, leadership skills and experiences needed to thrive in an ever-changing world. We have every confidence that they will continue to achieve great things and make a positive impact in their chosen professions, communities and beyond.
