SUPPORTERS of the Great Oaks Hospice donned their best Christmas outfits for a fund-raising walk.

The Ho-Ho-Hospice Walk started from the Clock Tower in the centre of Coleford.

The walkers were welcomed by Santa and firefighters with Billy the Coleford Fire Station Christmas float which has also been spreading some seasonal cheer around the town and surrounding villages.

Debbie Hutchinson of Great Oaks said: "We’d like to thank everyone who braved the cold to come along on our Ho Ho Hospice Walk.

"There was a fantastic atmosphere and it was really lovely to be able to do the walk again this year.

"We would also like to thank Billy The Coleford Fire Station Christmas Float for coming along to greet us both at the start and the finish,

"Nick Penny, our Mayor, dressed up as an elf and judged the costumes.

"We are incredibly lucky to have such a supportive community.

"To finish our walkers were handed out lovely homemade mince pies courtesy of a few lovely ladies and a fantastic range of sausage rolls which were very kindly donated by Cinderhill Farm.’’
