I WAS a steelworker when we were on strike for 13 weeks and I never had a penny coming in, so I know what misery strikes can cause. But I am behind the strikers all the way.
When I see the salaries some of the top men get it infuriates me.
Even the top man in Unite union is getting £500 a day. And that's just 'chicken feed' to what some bosses and bankers are getting. We are told that "we are all in this together". A lie.
I cannot understand why the leaders of the strikers do not state the obvious which is that they resent the bankers and top businessmen getting so much whilst Joe Bloggs is getting poorer all the time.
The bankers were the ones who caused the trouble. "Envy" will be the cry.
They are right, I resent the money they are getting, while my living standards are going down. I am rightly envious.
This government will not hear a word said against the bankers and top businessmen. They fleece the government of millions.
The gap between the rich and poor in this country as never been so wide, thanks to David Cameron and his party. So once again I say "good luck with the strikes".
