TOM Atkinson is  rather pedantic about the wording of a previous letter that  I  submitted to the Review, (October 2).

Having said that, when he  describes UKIP as ‘Europhobes’, some of us would say,’xenophobes’.

When one looks at a list of Tory ‘names’ advocating an out vote in the forthcoming  referendum, eg Lawson. Lamont, Redwood, Tebbit, Davies, Cash, Hamilton, Patterson  and Jenkins, I think I’ll pass.

These people have all had their chance.

Furthermore, if the CBI, David Cameron,  the Bank of England and George Osborne (potentially the best chancellor since the war) think that it is a good idea for the UK to remain members of  a modified  EU then why should we listen to Mr Atkinson’s ‘advice’ as, like the rest of us, it is only his opinion?
