WHEN the going gets tough, the tough get going...on a day when fish were hard to find the experience of the Wye Angling team clinched the Forest of Dean Association's teams of four angling tournament.
The series was hotly contested by all 10 teams and featured many of the best fishermen from the Forest and beyond.
The final round took place on Royal Forest of Dean Angling Club's waters at Steam Mills and Lightmoor.
As it turned out both waters fished below par, giving the opportunity for the experienced Wye Angling team to pull off a clear win on the day to retain the league title.
In the battle for the Individual Points Shield, the title was won by Steve Seaborn who caught two carp in the final ten minutes of the match to snatch victory from Sam Prosser.
Overall final results were: 1 Wye Angling; 2 Iffers Red; 3 Iffers Blue; 4 Glory Boys; 5 Rebels; 6 Pit Ponies.
