WHAT a wonderful turnout on Monday January 3. I have written once again to Mark Harper to ask why we should trust him. After all, both he and his Government have so far failed to keep promises on so many issues.
The people of the Dean deserve better. We need the libraries especially the mobile one. Lots of pensioners in villages outside the towns are not able to get books, also young children. They are not all on the internet.
The student grants especially the EMA. Our young people are the future of this country, long after Cameron and his cronies have disappeared.
I think we should have a re-election on the basis of failure to deliver to the people of the Forest.
This Public Bodies Bill will enable this Government and, indeed any other, to sell any land that is publicly-owned whether it is a village green or a football field. This is the most dangerous piece of legislation to come out of the Commons. Along with student loans are we going to just let them push it through as fast as they can? I was always told if it ain't broke don't fix it.
To change anything costs money. So why change it now?
The slash and burn tactics of this Con/Dem Government have so far cost more than has been saved.
If people are out of work you have to pay them benefit.
The high cost of living in this country is putting a lot of young families with mortgages in jeopardy. It makes one wonder what planet this administration is on
Cameron goes off to China and lectures them on human rights while he keeps our students sealed off without food, water or toilet facilities for nine hours to stop them protesting. This seems like double standards to me.
When I watched TV and saw mounted police charging unarmed students it reminded me of the time when?Churchill did the same to the suffragettes. I don't think he should lecture anyone on human rights, do you?
I really don't think that in this supposed democratic country that this is the way to behave.
