ON numerous trips around the Forest I am amazed at the mess you can see in the woods from the road.
All the areas beside the road are absolutely littered with fallen trees, some of them huge oaks, and these are only the ones you can see from the road.
What I can't understand is why the Forestry Commission don't do anything with these trees.
They have been lying there for months and especially around Speech House where I would have thought it would have been a good idea to show off the Forest in a good light to the many visitors that park around that area. At the moment it looks absolutely dreadful.
If the Forestry Commission don't sell these trees anymore, why not let the public saw them up and have them, I am sure they would soon get the place tidied up.
I see many Forestry Commission vans travelling around the Forest but I can't remember the last time I saw anyone actually working in the woods.
Come on Forestry Commission, surely you should have some pride in the Forest.
