ITV presenter Iolo Williams is to be the star lot in Gwent Wildlife Trust's forthcoming wild auction at Dingestow village hall on March 26 (6.30pm).

 "Times are tough for wildlife at the moment so here at the Trust we are working harder than ever to ensure that our wildlife doesn't suffer," said Denis Jackson, GWT's people and wildlife manager.

"Our Wild Auction is an opportunity to have a great night out and support the invaluable work our staff and volunteers are doing across the county."

A limited number of tickets are available and the auction conducted by Lyndon Trumper from J. Straker, Chadwick and Sons of Abergavenny, which will follow a two-course meal.  

As well as the sale of a very personal day out exploring the wildlife of the Gwent Levels with Iolo, there are many other items for people to bid on including a day out at Silverstone with the Ferrari Owners Club or the opportunity to take the controls of a glider soaring high above the Welsh hills.
