A FOREST firm has become the first distributor of cleaning and hygiene products to win national accreditation from industry leaders.

DJB Cleaning Supplies in Pillowell near Lydney successfully completed an auditing process conducted by the Cleaning and Hygiene Suppliers Association’s independent inspector.

The CHSA only launched its accreditation scheme for distributors this year and DJB is the first to win the title.

“Delivering great service to our customers sits at the heart of our business,” said managing directors Dave and Lin Bruce.

“We backed the establishment of the CHSA accredited distributor scheme since its inception and are delighted to be the first to secure accreditation in the UK.

“It’s an independent stamp of approval, giving our customers confidence that we mean it when we say we’re committed to standards.”

The inspector checked products in the warehouse, checking that businesses buying cleaning and hygiene products can be sure “what was on the box is in the box”.

DJB also signed a declaration that it will only stock and offer for sale CHSA-accredited products or those that conform to the same standards required by the relevant body’s manufacturing standards accreditation scheme.

To maintain its accredited status, the company will be monitored periodically with a minimum of two audits per year.
