PUPILS will be attracted to learning thanks to a purpose-made magnetic board and teaching resource.

It was donated to Woodside Primary School in Ruardean by Cinderford-based Grail Laser Profiles Ltd, and it’s just what they needed to finish off their newly developed sensory classroom space.

The school’s special educational needs co-ordinator, Claire Jeavons, said: “We are really proud of our nurture-style classroom and the opportunities it offers. It provides a great alternative space for children to learn.

“We just needed a magnetic board to finish off the sensory area. I contacted Grail as they have such a good reputation locally to see if they could help us and they have been brilliant.

“They came to the site, measured the space we had and came back and fitted a board for us with no fuss or bother.

“They were so generous, not only to donate the board, but all of the resources we have been wanting. The children are already making really great use of it.”

Purpose built with a sensory area, the nurture classroom provides an alternative space for children to learn at their own pace at the 114-pupil school.

Grail’s business development manager Julian Grail said: “When we found out about the fantastic work that Woodside Primary has been doing we knew we wanted to support them.

“We have benefited from the high quality candidates produced by local schools as apprentices, so we wanted to give something back.

“We manufactured and fitted a bespoke magnetic board and bought the teaching resources they needed to use with it. It was a real pleasure to see the children using the board and enjoying learning.

“We are very much part of the local community and like to contribute where we can.”
