I recently had a hernia operation at Lydney Hospital. I would like to say a big thank you to Denise and Christine the nurses on the ward and also a big thanks to the operating staff.

It's a great local hospital with very caring and helpful staff. I never knew that Lydney Hospital carried out operations and it was therefore a great relief to know that I didn't have to trek all the way to Gloucester to go to GRH.

Instead I just walked up the road. We should support our local hospital all we can. Although they are restricted in the procedures they can carry out, ask your consultant for Lydney as your first choice. I will.
