Can anyone tell me whether there is any local information on the very 'hidden' subject of low flying military aircraft in the area?
The north of the district, toward Ledbury, has felt like a war zone over the last week or so and yet nothing ever appears in the local newspapers about it.
From my perspective this flying is totally unwarranted, especially low flying Hercules over some listed and old buildings and homes in the area in the early hours of the morning.
It appears that the Ministry of Defence is not
interested in the population's view and the MP is only interested in carrying out government policy irrespective of his constituents. This all leaves local people totally powerless, without a voice or any chance of changing things.
I have been disturbed on four of the last seven nights by low flying noise and disturbance. On one occasion I saw a large plane, a Hercules, flying directly at my home rising to fly over the roof by about 20 feet. I'm feeling pretty tired and have cancelled social engagements as a result.
This is not Afghanistan or Libya or anywhere else the government has invaded – this is England. But it doesn't seem like my country any more.
