THERE has been a new sighting of the Forest's mystery beast'.
For Clare Owen, of Bream, it was her second encounter and by far her best.
Travelling from Bream to Parkend she had a clear and close-up view of an unidentified animal on the roadside.
"It was mottled and sandy in colour, somewhat larger than a domestic cat, perhaps around the size of a small collie," said Clare.
She saw a similar animal in the same area last summer.
The sighting confirms the views of several experts who reckon more than one type of as yet positively identified animal has been let loose in the woods.
Last summer a woman walking her dog near Parkend had a clear view of an animal closely matching the description of Clare's 'beast'.
