The Review would like to make it crystal clear that it is the company which built the log cabins at Bracelands, near Christchurch, that has gone into administration, not the company now successfully running them.

Forest Holidays and the Forestry Commission jointly own the resort and according to general manager, Stuart Tilt, the site has been full since it opened.

He says: "The cabin site has been full since we opened and bookings looking forward are also looking very good and we have had some stunning feedback from our customers who have visited the cabin site and the Forest of Dean. The cabin site is very much alive."

Stuart is also keen to stress the forest retreat, which houses a new grocery store, is open to locals even if just for a coffee and chance to enjoy the views.

•Quibell and Son (Hull) Ltd which was the main contractor building the cabins went into administration at the end of November, leaving sums of money owing to Forest sub-contractors.
