A FORMER SAS man who was cured after suffering Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is launching a unique treatment and counselling service in the Forest.

The condition, which affects people in battle or in front line emergency services, causes many ill effects including disabling flasbacks to traumatic life-threatening incidents, distressing scenes or violent acts.

Members of the forces are particularly vulnerable, says former SAS man Rob Hope, who wants to help those who could benefit from the same treatment which helped him – Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) .

"We have developed a treatment unlike any other system that may be currently available to our clients," he says.

"Our process has been statistically analysed using a Governmental recognised analytical calibration tool. Using the therapeutic process we have helped around 50 PTSD sufferers in the last two years and I have now started the monumental task of developing Talking2minds so it is nationally recognised and to make the difference for a greater number of those that are still suffering.

"By using our therapeutic system we help them back to a peaceful state of mind that allows them to continue their lives without the symptomology associated with PTSD.

"I have been setting up the Talking2minds for almost a year now and we launch the site proper in the next few days. There is great interest from high net worth individuals, corporates and the national media already, and they are all eagerly awaiting the web site launch.

"I am former member of UK Special Forces (22 SAS) and a private militarysecurity professional and have experienced my fair share of trauma in many hostile environments and conflicts. I have recently finished working in Iraq where I have been for the last five and half years in the fray.

"I was diagnosed with PTSD around four years ago and was distmayed that the current system could not assist me or the others that I have met along my journey.

"I fortunately found through a close friend definitive help from Mick Stott, a master trainer of NLP (http://www.fundamental-foundations.co.uk">www.fundamental-foundations.co.uk) who showed me the way back from my nightmares, flashbacks and depression.

"Subsequently I have spent the past two years training and qualifying as a master practitioner of NLP, hypnosis and Time-line Therapy with the sole aim of making a difference for those suffering from PTSD."

He said that as Talking2minds expands and the media profile is raised he intends to securing a property in the Forest for a centre fwhere he can assist not just the client but also the family affected by close contact with the sufferer.
