I AM a student from the Forest of Dean College. I would like to tell you about the kindness shown to my sister and me on Tuesday 1 December.
It was a very cold day and we went in to buy some chips from the chip shop behind Kaplan's Cafe in Lydney. The lovely young man who served me said "It's very cold outside today", I responded with "Just a bit!". He then poured out two cups of tea, I thought he must have been thirsty, but he gave them to me and my sister. I thought it was very kind of him to be thinking of others, so I thought I would write to you and ask you to publish this letter of thanks.
I read your paper every week and we often use it in our lessons at College. Thank you for making local news available to myself and all our community – Rhianne and Sarah in Lydney.
