Fundraising efforts are hotting up in more ways than one for a local charity that supports children in emergency care.
Members of the group have signed up to walk over hot coals at Bream Sports Club on Saturday September 21.
The sponsored ‘fire walk’ was the brainchild of Julie Holder, founder member of Packed With Love, a not-for-profit group who raise money to buy essential items for children who have been placed in emergency care, with little or no personal belongings.
The event promises to be an entertaining family affair, with stalls, a raffle and hot dogs, candyfloss and popcorn on sale in the build-up to the main attraction.
And the evening’s entertainment will continue inside the club with live music from the band echoBANDITS.
Julie is encouraging anyone who would like to take part in the fire walk - whether to raise funds for their own chosen charity or just for fun - to get in touch.
