If a person writes, over a long period, quite a few letters to your good self, constantly banging on about the same subject, ie immigration, one could be excused for thinking that person is "preoccupied."
That is why I described Mr Timbrell as such, at no time did I say he was a "crank".
Also, he accuses pro-Europeans ( I am not convinced either way) of only ever putting one side of the debate, when that is exactly what Mr Timbrell has been guilty of when voicing his opinions and is the reason I was prompted to write to you in the first place.
I merely wanted to point out to anyone who is worried about the threat of future mass immigration, thanks to the likes of Mr Timbrell's constant scaremongering, that other member states could well end up taking the lion's share of said migrants because wages and welfare payments are much higher in six other member states than they are here, as quoted in the Sunday Times article I referred to in my original letter.
