A DRYBROOK teen is so close to achieving her life-long dream of becoming the next top author – the only problem is she needs your help to get there.
Fourteen-year-old Gabriella Jayne Bosticco is currently in 11th position in a national novel writing competition where the top five novels, at the end of December, win a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan.
Proud mum, Emma said: "The rating each novel receives is based on reads, likes and comments. During an email conversation with the website, who are running the competition, Gabriella was told that she is the youngest author on their Emerging Page, which highlights the highest ranked novels.
"She has always been a tremendously talented writer, and would dictate stories to us before she was able to write herself. The idea is that authors write the novels as the competition progresses, and then have time to edit and rewrite before the winners novels are published."
