WHY not try and grow some beautiful chry­san­themums this year?

So says Bruce Reed who won the 'Best vase of anemone chrysanthemums in show' at the 2010 National Championships.

If you're interested in growing them for show or just for pleasure now is the time to start. It is during this month of year when growers are sorting out their cuttings and selecting the ones they intend to use.

If you leave it much later there will be no spare cuttings left for new growers and you'll miss the entire year.
