PUPILS from St John's-on-the-Hill School in Tutshill turned back the clock for their recent production of Grease.
The end-of-year production by 12- and 13-year-old students even featured a battered old car that was transformed into the race-winning Greased Lightning.
Ellie Willis and Emlyn Owen in the lead roles of Sandy and Danny were supported by a cast of Pink Ladies and R-Birds – including Harry Bettley and Amy Whittle as Kenickie and Rizzo – and a chorus of singers and dancers.
The production played to a packed house at the Chepstow school over two nights.
Headmaster Nick Folland said: "Performing arts is an important part of school life at St John's and the annual production is the highlight of the performing arts calendar. Showcasing spectacular talent on and off stage with fantastic costumes, set design from the art department, musical contribution from the band and a skilled technical team, this was a combined effort reflecting the talent and dedication of children and staff."
