A FAMOUS couple recently enjoyed an evening at the Orepool Inn.

Actress turned foodie, Lisa Faulkner and MasterChef presenter, John Torode dropped into the Sling pub for a meal as they were staying overnight in the Dean.

Landlord James Chilton said: "The couple were staying in the area overnight and went onto Twitter asking for suggestions as to where to eat in the area. Based on the response they called us and booked a table. John had steak with new potatoes while Lisa wanted a vegetarian dish and had breaded scampi with homemade cheese and leek potato cakes.

"Both enjoyed their meals."
