THIS was Littledean's last game of the season. It was their sixth win and lifted them to fourth from bottom of the league. Next term they are going all out for promotion.
It may sound like mission impossible. But that's not so, says captain James Haines.
"We played twice as well this season than we did last. That was our first season back after reforming and it was tough going.
"Just like Sling, we were bottom of the division and got to know what it was like to let in 10 or 12 goals a match. But we were better this time and I know that with a few more players we can challenge for promotion," says Haines.

Fire-hit family grateful for
"extraordinary" responseHe had plenty of praise and encouragement for Sling's newly formed reserve side, officially the worst team in the Forest.
"We were there last season. They are getting better and I'm positive they will not be bottom next season. Against us they got stronger as the game went on and in the second half only conceded two goals," he said.
Ryan Bennett scored four against Sling – a haul which took his season's total to nine. He now shares the top scoring spot with Dan Gwilliam and Dan Lawrence.
Lawrence (2), Gwilliam and Pollock also scored at Sling, as did Littledean centre-back Del Grinstead who probably has the most unenviable record in Forest soccer league history – his score was his eighth own goal of the season!
