THREE barber's shops are offering Haircuts for Heroes with all the takings going to Help for Heroes.

Jim Clarkson, who runs The Barber Shops in Cinderford, Lydney and Caldicot, came up with the idea while watching a football match.

"I was talking with a customer of mine at a charity football match and he said 'why don't you bring your clippers to a match and do a charity cut?'

"Trouble is, I said, it's difficult to get electrics down to the pitch. Then I thought, why not Haircuts for Heroes?"

Dates are The Barber Shop in Cinderford on October 6, The Barber Shop in Lydney on October 13 and The Barber Shop in Caldicot on October 20, all from 7am to 7pm.
